Professors have recently acknowledged the ever-increasing rate that the Arctic ice cap is melting at is changing the earth temperature and is the same as ‘about 20 years of additional CO2 being added by man’. The ice cap used to account for as much as 2% of the planet’s land mass but recent reports have shown that it now holds less than 1% of the globes surface area, and is reflecting less and less radioactive waves sent by the sun. This is where the added heat comes from. Professor Wadhams said “The extra radiation that’s absorbed is, from our calculations, the equivalent of about 20 years of additional CO2 being added by man,”
