The Trans-Pacific Partnership, TPP, is the largest economic treaty in history, encompassing nations representing more than 40 per cent of the world’s GDP. Hidden within the treaty is a copy-right/censorship clause which will give certain ‘groupings’ unprecedented power over the last free channel of communication, the internet.
The decisive Trans-Pacific Partnership Chief Negotiators summit occurred in Salt Lake City, Utah, on 19-24 November 2013. The treaty, if agreed upon, along with the Transatlantic Trade and Investment Partnership, will encompass more than 60 per cent of all the globes GDP.
