So many of us defined by places,
Distinguished by colour,
Features on faces
That reflect geography,
Heritage and tastes
But not always accurate are first glances taken in haste.
Perhaps people should be defined by thoughts,
Their priorities are what need to be sought
To really gain an insight into their lives.
Endeavour to comprehend, for what do they strive?
Many of my race, creed considered slow
In our attempt to gain what meaningfully shows
A human’s intention to secure some land
Upon which their kindred can make a stand
And pursue their hopes of success
Without fear of living under duress
From a State that historically does oppress
Though this fact it would never confess.
