As India suffers another bruise at the hands of irreverent officials, how much longer before the people’s naive tolerance sees the truth?

Anna Hazare was used by that cunning, crafty and overambitious Artful Dodger (see Dickens’ Oiver Twist ), Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal, to hoodwink the gullible people of Delhi. Now he is trying to do the same in Punjab and Goa.

Kejriwal has no scientific ideas about how to solve the Indian people’s massive problems of poverty, unemployment, malnutrition, healthcare and good education. In his book Swaraj, he writes that our problems can be solved by handing over power to village panchayats and mohalla panchayats. Anyone who has an idea of the realities of such panchayats knows that they are centres and hotbeds of casteism and corruption. So Kejriwal’s idea is not only reactionary but stupid.

The people have already witnessed Kejriwal’s stunts, as when he lay before the Railway Bhavan, or travelled on a busy Delhi street on a bicycle, which showed he is little more than a madaari (performer), treating the public as monkeys.

Yet people tried to overlook all this, and praised his mohalla (community) clinics, the reduction in electricity and water bills, etc.

Later, disillusionment set in when he gave huge increases in emoluments to his MLAs, raised the grant for his self-propaganda to Rs. 536 crores (21 times the previous years), and constantly kept attacking Modi and the LG instead of working for the people’s welfare.

The final straw came when Delhi was waterlogged and diseases like dengue and chikungunya spread. The Delhi Government generates a whopping Rs. 90,000 crores as taxes from the people of Delhi. In return however, they were rewarded with these calamities. Where has all the money been spent?

When his Minister, Sandeep Kumar was caught on video red-handed, Kejriwal tried to get political mileage out of this by saying that he was dismissed within half an hour of the revelation — implying that his party is different. But facts which are now coming out, show that Kejriwal was quite aware of Mr Kumar’s frolics for some time.

Kejriwal is a slick, smooth and foxy operator, who knows how to convert every revelation of his party’s fraudulent ways and corruption into an advantage. He has kicked out Prashant Bhushan and Yogendra Yadav because of their objection to his giving Assembly election tickets to shady people, and has instead surrounded himself with Sancho Panzas (see Don Quixote) and chamchas … .

Kejriwal is a big fraud, skilled in the art of deception, chicanery, trickery, subterfuge, craft, guile and dodges. He is a phony, a faker, a humbug and a pretentious man. It is time people see through him and know his true nature.
