The Shout Out UK Political Literacy Programme
Join The Growing Movement Of Schools Giving Young People The Tools They Need To Shape Society.
Up to this point, no one has offered a truly effective Political Literacy programme, linked to the curriculum, which brings Democratic Engagement to all your students and ensures you hit Enrichment, Prevent and British Value targets.
Politics has changed drastically, period. The problem is Political Education is still not being taught in any, but the top end private schools. This instigates a class divide, as it ensures those able to pay know how to influence the system, while the rest have to let politics happen to them. We aim to change this.

No Political Literacy In Your School?
IT’S NOT YOUR FAULT
Politics has been left out the core curriculum for far too long, and with shrinking budgets schools end up focusing on ‘traditional subjects’.
We are on a mission to help schools implement Political Literacy in the easiest and most cost-effective way possible.
Our E-platform is a system that has changed the lives of just about every school we have worked with.
And we’re going to show you exactly how!
Political Literacy Programme:
It covers an Introduction to British Politics (voting, Parliament, contacting MPs), International Relations and Political Theory (Left and Right-wing, international bodies), Media Literacy (how to critically analyse the media and deal with misinformation) and Employability skills (debating and public speaking).
You can do the programme both Offline or Online via our E-platform
Our E-Platform ensures that the democratic process is fully embedded in your school!
The programme’s online version is divided into three courses, which link to KEY STAGE 3, 4 and 5. This allows you to implement it throughout your whole school! You will be able to use our ‘pick-up and go’ resources to run the course yourselves, with a series of animations, editable slideshows and full teaching resources to help with delivery!
As all activities with students are done online, it’s super easy to track student progress! Less paperwork ensures you save your time (and the planet).
From Learning To Action With Student Unions
Within our Political Literacy EPlatform, you will be able to set up and run a Student Union, ensuring that students will practice what they have learned during our Political Literacy programme within the safety of the school environment!
Our EPlatform automates most Student Union functions, ensuring maximum impact with minimum effort.

Here’s How We Will Help
We are registered with AQA for the delivery of the Unit Award Scheme (UAS). Upon successful completion of each unit of the Course, students will receive a UAS certificate from AQA.
Students will get the chance improve their People Skills via debates and public speaking exercises during the programme. These transferable skills are highly valuable especially for their future career prospects!
The programme ends with a Speech Night, during which your students will deliver speeches on issues they’re passionate about in front of their parents/carers and local/regional/national politicians hosted right at your school!
When you have Political Literacy, you begin to build Stronger and more Resilient Communities, and to promote Activism to incite positive change.
This enhances your students’ ability to influence local policymaking, to engage in activism and to build their overall Emotional Resilience and Confidence. They will also register to vote!
The programme will help your students become responsible media consumers, by teaching them how to critically analyse the information they see on social media, and to identify Misinformation, Disinformation and Fake News.
All the above ensures that key components of a school’s Enrichment, British Values and Prevent requirements are met and evidenced.

WHAT TEACHERS HAVE SAID
“The students have loved using the platform, they have found it easy to navigate once logged in and have enjoyed the content.”
– Tom Lecoq, Wren School
“Understanding Politics is key to understanding how society works. Shout Out UK’s Political Literacy Course supports students in developing their political awareness so they can take a more active role in society. After sitting in on several lessons with Shout Out UK and our students, I can honestly say it has been a fantastic opportunity for our students to develop their knowledge and awareness of current affairs as well as their ability to speak in public, debate and present a discussion coherently. This has also helped students to develop their self-esteem and confidence.”
– Roisin Murray, Teacher, Bentley Wood High School
“The students who attended have said that they found it very interesting and one of them has been inspired to apply to become a member of the UK Youth Parliament!”
– Joanne Radiven, Teacher, Northgate Barnet School PRU
“We have finally got all of our Year 10’s through the course!
We are very happy with the E-platform, it is very easy to use. The student’s especially enjoyed the graphic animation films that went with the course!”
– Steph MacDonald, Christopher Whitehead Language College
“I found the E-platform easy to navigate, with lots of interactive features and links to other material. Teaching resources were also very good.”
– Daniel Cooper, Salvatorian College
