My name is Sophia, I am 17 and I live in Cornwall. Currently, I am in the second year of my ALevels.
My passion for my subjects has led me to develop my knowledge on human rights issues as well as environmental concerns, which has driven me to engage in programmes such as the WWF Sustainable Careers Programme.
So far, most of my progress has been community based, such as being part of my college Eco Council, where we find greener ways to run our college such reducing clothing consumption.
Previously, I have been raising awareness regarding issues of sexual harassment in schools,which developed into meetings with school boards concerning safeguarding in Cornwall and having groups of students rigorously revaluate our Consent Curriculum. These interventions are something I’d like to encourage on a much larger scale to maintain the safety of people in the UK.
