Will Solomon

Hi my name’s Will Solomon, I joined Calderdale Youth Council when I was 13 not really knowing what it was going to be like or whether it would interest me or which topic I’d want to campaign on. I haven’t left since. Since joining youth council I’ve worked with some of the best young people in Yorkshire on climate change, youth services, democracy, health, transport and devolution. Climate action quickly became my main passion both as part of my youth council and the Regional Youth Climate Assembly giving me the chance to work with policy makers, expand my knowledge, speak at COP 26 and meet incredible people. I’m really excited to be joining the YPDG, it’s an amazing opportunity to let young people and decision makers speak and put young people’s issues at the top of the agenda.
